ABOUT THE FOUNDER
IAN VERDUN
Los Angeles native Ian Verdun is a graduate of the California Institute of the Arts and the British American Drama Academy. Best known for his breakout role as Xander McClure on Freeform’s sci-fi thriller “Siren”, he knows what it takes to stay relevant in the ever changing and unpredictable entertainment industry. His performances have been described as “brimming with grit and honesty” by Backstage, “quirkily charming” by Variety, and “finely nuanced” by LA Weekly. Ian has also been hailed by Stage Scene LA as the “brightest stage discovery of 2011”.
Ian continues to cut his teeth on the stages of New York and Los Angeles, along with writing and producing several plays himself. After appearing on ABC’s “Last Resort”, TNT’s “Hawthorne” and FOX’s “Lucifer”, Ian threw his energy into his own television creation, “Life’s A Drag”. Following years of experiencing the lackluster opportunities for diverse entertainers, “Life’s A Drag” went on to win a number of awards in the burgeoning web festival circuit, including a special award for recognition in diversity.
His current project in development is a new comic book series titled “The Burden”, which is his childhood dream come true. Curating a team of artists he is working to bring a dark new Universe with diverse characters to life and is paving a path to create his own IP. The development of “The Burden” reignited his passion for helping fellow thespians and he decided in March 2023 to restructure his original 2013 dream for Actors In Control, which was originally designed to help actors with website branding and exposure. Today the Verdun’s dream for Actors In Control has been expanded into acting classes, coaching, and masterclasses designed to help actors build their confidence and hone their craft, while providing audition coaching and self-tapes, as well as industry guidance, and project development for client’s individual projects as well.
With an ever increasing volatile entertainment industry, AIC is giving actors an opportunity to create their own lane for their careers rather than being dependent on one audition at a time.
Ian can next be seen in 20th Century Fox’s sci-fi release, “The Creator”, which stars John David Washington and Allison Janney and is Director Gareth Edwards’ latest project since 2016’s genre redefining epic, “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”.
